Public Affairs recruitment is totally unique. Unlike so many other recruitment disciplines this sector is a virtually untapped market, extraordinarily niche and extremely lucrative.
About Public Affairs…
Public affairs consultants are often referred to as 'lobbyists', but their work is more wide-ranging. They use their understanding of the political system to offer political and public policy advice to their clients. Clients may include private sector companies, not-for-profit organisations, or overseas governments. They are responsible for keeping abreast of political developments, in order to advise clients on a possible response.
Public affairs consultants also identify key stakeholders in the decision-making process in European, national, regional and local government bodies. They work to maintain relationships with these individuals and to assist clients to promote and protect their interests effectively.
About our client… the market leader in Public Affairs Recruitment
Based in the heart of leafy Covent Garden, our client has just celebrated their 20th anniversary and still continues to lead the way in this sector. Their reputation is second to none and their network of contacts is unparalleled.
About The Role
Organic growth has now led to the rare requirement for an additional consultant to join the team. You will be joining an established team and all whom have been with the company for between 4 and 15 years. They encourage a ‘grown-up’ work culture, giving individuals autonomy to run their day. They strongly believe in a work/life balance and believe this is key to their success. They have no ‘fee targets’, thresholds or client/candidate ownership, believing that internal competition doesn’t contribute to the overall profitability, company reputation or their team environment.
About You
Expertise in this sector, though useful, is not an essential; intelligence, determination, and a proper regard for the needs of both clients and candidates are. A minimum of 12 months’ recruitment experience from a professional discipline is required.
