Computer skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of SAP desirable.
Type correspondence and reports as and when required.
Maintain electronic files.
Keep accurate electronic records.
Finance
General finance/accounting knowledge/experience desirable.
Distributing petty cash, recording purchases, completing a monthly return.
Taking nursery fees. Maintaining accurate records on fees. Dealing with enquiries from parents re fees and carrying out credit control.
Communication
Good communication skills.
Dealing with enquiries from parents/carers and members of the public in person, on the phone and in correspondence.
Record Keeping
Developing and maintaining filing systems.
Maintaining the archive for all EYC records.
Produce and keep accurate records both written and electronic.
Taking staff and children’s registers. Updating registers.
Recording staff annual leave and sickness.
Completing weekly, monthly and quarterly returns.
Understanding the importance of confidentiality. Awareness of the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.
General Office Duties
Photocopying and faxing.
Opening and distributing incoming mail.
Assisting with deliveries.
Completing agency timesheets.

Good level of Maths and English.
