Our client is a well established and respected Asset Management Company based in the City. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to join them in a key role, supporting the Head of the Compliance division. You will be an integral part of the team, providing technical advice and guidance to the directors and senior managers with regard to UK and Offshore financial service regulations.

Your main duties will be to review and evaluate European regulatory developments and to provide advice and make recommendations with regard to their potential impact while keeping abreast of best practices and techniques. You will also provide regular updates and guidance with regard to required functional changes and operational procedures in respect of regulatory rules. This will also include training, development and support of compliance focused staff within the unit and effective briefing of personnel in other areas.

You will also be responsible for reviewing group regulatory policies and the supervision of FSA and Offshore Authorities reporting, together with the planning and management of technical projects in relation to the Group Risk and Compliance function.

In addition, you will ensure the maintenance of effective relationships with regulatory authorities in dealing with notifications and reporting responsibilities, co-ordinating arrangements, briefings, and collating documentation for FSA visits.

It is essential that interested applicants possess an appropriate FPC or equivalent professional qualification, with comprehensive technical understanding of FSA rules and regulations in relation to fund management. You must also be an excellent communicator with first class reporting, analytical, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
