Design Manager - 1954

Position: Design Manager – East London project.

Package: £60-65k plus full benefits package.

Company: London based Main Contractor working upon building and refurbishment projects to £50m in the London region.

Role: Design Manager required to take responsibility for all design aspects of a D+B New Build project; you will manage the complete construction design process. When projects are awarded the role is focused upon developing the design into the construction phase then supporting the project team offering guidance and advice upon buildability issues when on site.
Specific responsibilities include management of the design process, management of Architects, Structural Engineers and subcontractor design responsibilities, driving value management, design co-ordination, ensure the design process recognises current legislation, standards and Codes of Practice, performance monitoring and co-ordination of design programmes.

Requirements: You will have worked for recognised construction companies in the UK in a design focused role, will be well versed in construction design and will most likely have professional qualifications
