Our client is the core Global investments solutions provider of one of the world's largest financial services organisations and aiming to deliver appropriate and competitive investment solutions to a wide range of clients. With a dedicated network of client offices in c20 countries around the world, they integrate the expertise of investment teams operating worldwide to develop investment strategies that add value for their clients. They are seeking an experienced Wholesale Investment Writer.

Business/Function for the Wholesale Investment Writer:
Working within a high profile Product & Marketing team the purpose of the Wholesale Investment Writer will be to assist the Wholesale business in the production of investment writing primarily targeted at retail advisory and discretionary clients;
• To organize and implement to deadlines and to a suitable quality the regular writing schedule of the investment communications area within the Wholesale business.
• To help improve the content and quality of all investment marketing materials for the Wholesale business in conjunction with the Wholesale Marketers.
• To act as an investment specialist for the core product lines as identified by the head of Wholesale business as having the broadest appeal across key distribution channels.
• To review and manage sign off with the Wholesale Sales and Marketing function to implement all external written communications produced by the Company for use in client facing situations.
• To assist with other external sales and marketing activities relating to product information, investment view and thought leadership on behalf of the Wholesale business, in conjunction with the Media Relations team
• To act as a champion for change in terms of continuously raising the profile of the Company’s investment solutions and expertise in the UK, both internally to other offices globally.
• To engage in any other activities deemed suitable by the Head of Wholesale and as agreed with the wholesale team.

IDEAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES FOR THE WHOLESALE INVESTMENT WRITER

• Minimum IMC qualified with preferably further professional qualifications
• At least 3 years industry experience (preferably 5+)
• Experience of retail advisory and discretionary clients in a sales and marketing context
• Demonstrate experience of meeting challenging deadlines
• The ability to prioritise and organize effectively
• Extremely strong communication skills
• Ability to deal with Fund Managers/senior management at all levels
• Ability to manipulate investment databases and performance software (Datastream, Lipper etc.)
