PRODUCT LAUNCH MANAGER, ASSOCIATE LEVEL, ASSET MANAGEMENT £45,000 - £60,000 PLUS EXCELLENT BENS CITY

Overview
This is a new role within the Operational Process Development Team (NPPO) that will focus on implementation of pooled products that have clearly defined operating model changes associated to them. In addition the team member will have responsibility for ensuring that key team documentation and reporting is maintained, developed and published, providing transparency in terms of the status of product launch activity within Europe.
This role is positioned to provide opportunities for a candidate, to build their knowledge of the Company’s products and product development processes and to develop project management disciplines. As such it will involve significant opportunity to interact with many parts of the business in Europe. The job holder will become a product change professional taking responsibility for the pooled product launch leadership role on behalf of sponsors.
Launch Lead Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of the end-to-end operating model with input and sign off from the impacted business units
• Project manage the launch
• Coordinate among all stakeholders
• Track and drive resolution of tasks and issues
• Escalate tactical process solutions, non-standard processes
• Ensure compliance with NPAP documentation requirements
• Ensure completion of all NPAP steps
• Ensure that the records associated to the pooled product launch process are auditable
• Provide clear status reporting on the launches undertaken
• The team member will have responsibility for ensuring that key team documentation and reporting is maintained, developed and published, providing transparency in terms of the status of product launch activity within Europe
Key Skills/ Experience Required
In terms of candidates for the role it is not anticipated that they will have all of these skills at the outset, although demonstration of some level of relevant experience is essential.
• Some involvement in change management projects, particularly relating to product launches, operational and technology processes
• Good understanding of the business of a fund management firm and the roles of the other parties involved in the fund management business
• Experience in the following areas:
- Securities and Derivatives Operations
- Operational Risk Assessment and Management
- Fund Management operations
• A good understanding and ability to identify operating risks
• Ability to translate Product requirements into fully functioning operating models
• Candidate must be able to lead a small team, and achieve results through several “virtual teams”
