Nursery Assistant & Housekeeper
An excellent opportunity is currently available for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant/Housekeeper to work for an energetic team.
Your responsibilities are to provide high quality care and stimulating play experiences for each of their children?s individual needs.
Your duties will include:
? Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and hygiene can be maintained throughout the nursery.
? Contributing towards a high quality provision being maintained by joining in the process of change and development.
? Enhancing the nursery with your skills and abilities.
? Providing a routine and programme of activities suitable to the age and stage of children in your group, in conjunction with other staff.
? Undertaking domestic tasks as requested, including a regular schedule of cleaning furniture, doors, floors and walls.
? Preparing breakfast and snacks.
? Implementing the policies and procedures of the nursery at all times.
? Maintaining a high standards of health and safety throughout the nursery and on any visits outside the nursery.
? Recording all accidents and incidents in the accident book and ensuring the manager has initialled the report before the parent receives it.
? Adhering to child protection policy and procedures.
? Working with parents and carers to meet all children?s needs including those of children with special needs.
? To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled.
? Undertaking any training arranged for you by the nursery.
The successful applicants must hold a recent first aid qualification, basic food and hygiene certificate and an NVQ 2 in Childcare or equivalent.
