Broker Assistant – Commercial Package Insurance

£23,000 - £26,000 + Bonus + Benefits
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced assistant to join a leading Financial Advisory and Commercial Insurance brokerage. Working within the commercial insurance division, dealing with commercial combined packages, you will be responsible for identifying and responding to clients needs including queries, renewals, changes in cover and risk, as well as supporting the broker in day to day duties. At all times, you will be expected to look after the needs of the broker and his clients, and in his absence will take control of his dealings. You will also be expected to develop your Insurance knowledge within the role and keep up to date with technical changes within your product range and the Insurance market.
You should have a strong Commercial Combined/Package Insurance background and have held a similar support role, ideally within a brokerage specializing in SME Commercial Insurance. A good knowledge of the UK commercial Insurance market is essential in order to fulfill the role. Excellent communication skills are a must as is the ability to deal with a wide variety of companies and individuals and work in a 1 to 1 supporting role. The role will initially be a supportive role but will encourage client contact and development in the future so a strong technical Insurance background coupled with a confident personable nature is advantageous.
