Senior HR Advisor - Top City Financial Institution
£37,000 - £40,000 + generous bonus and benefits
Central London

A superb opportunity has arisen for a HR Advisor to join a major city based financial institution in an interesting, varied and challenging role. The main focus of this will be to provide operational support to the HR Department and individual line managers
Specific duties will include:
• Providing first line support to designated areas of the business and secondary cover in absence of management for the remainder of the business.
• Providing regular activity reports to ensure the HR Manager is aware of any ongoing work or issues
• Supporting the HR Manager in all Employee Relations matters, such as exit interviews, flexible working, maternity leavers, disciplinary and grievance.
• Providing advice and guidance to staff and line managers
• Managing the induction process for all pay rolled staff, including induction packs and induction meetings.
• Ensuring all probation processes are carried out, including preparation of any relevant correspondence.
• Carrying out staff leavers process, including exit interviews and any related paperwork/forms
• Managing maternity, paternity and flexible working processes
• Assisting with disciplinary and grievance process
• Managing the renewal of the private medical scheme, and Group risk benefits, ensuring benefits are competitive and cost effective for the organisation. Supporting the HR manager with the salary and bonus review process.
• Providing cover for the payroll administrator in their absence, this will include input and running the payroll.
• Reviewing HR operational processes and assisting with project work
• To maintain confidentiality at all times and security of data, both computerised and manual documentation.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience within HR, at least two of which should have been gained in responsible roles requiring autonomy. Preference will be given to candidates who are either CIPD qualified or studying for the qualification
