Managing money for private investors, pension funds, insurance groups and other institutions, as well as providing the investment expertise for some of the UK’s best-known financial brands they are innovative and progressive with a dedication to inspired thinking – finding the best investment solutions to help investors meet their financial objectives and manage the full range of asset classes; shares, bonds, absolute return funds, private equity and multi-manager funds.
The Role
The main purpose of the role is to provide a centre of excellence for the design and production of all marketing materials required to support the tactical plans of the business partnerships, group and institutional channels. The Marketing Production Manager will also be responsible for the development and practical implementation of the brand guidelines and standards.

• Manage the timely and cost effective production, design and delivery of high quality marketing collateral across all media, including web and multi-media.
• Manage the maintenance of the Company’s core marketing materials, including literature and web content, by ensuring they are updated to a high quality, compliant with FSA regulations and effectively delivered to the business and third party distributors in timely manner.
• Manage the briefing process, reviewing work with design team and/or client to: monitor progress, determine a project’s direction and budget, and provide conceptual feedback to designers.
• Ensure accurate records of all jobs are maintained and ensure the production and design process is working efficiently.
• Be ‘hands-on’ with the design work when necessary and assist teams from other parts of the business and externally on an ad -hoc basis with practical design advice and support.
• Manage the production schedule for capacity planning within the team ensuring flexible cover is available.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of 5 to improve performance including professional development, appraisals and objective setting.
• Develop and implement the brand and style guidelines ensuring brand integrity is maintained across all communications and all media.
• Manage external relationships (such as printers) to maximise profitability via external contract negotiation and management of service levels.
• Ensure all hardware and software in the team is well maintained and relevant to the team’s work.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Experience in the management and sign-off of marketing literature in an investment environment.
• Understanding of through-the-line marketing and advertising disciplines.
• Good understanding of financial markets including investment products and the investment industry.
• Mac and PC literate with knowledge of Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design and print processes.
• Sound knowledge of legal and compliance requirements
• Line management experience directly responsible for staff and their development.
• Project scheduling / management capability.
• Commercially and fiscally astute.
• Evidence of making things happen and adding value to marketing solutions within a business environment.
• Ability to drive the team forward to meet business needs.
