Project Quantity Surveyor - Croydon
The successful project quantity surveyor or senior quantity surveyor will be the number one quantity surveyor in the company reporting directly back to the senior management. As the project quantity surveyor or senior quantity surveyor you will be overseeing one other quantity surveyor.

The client:
My client is a specialist sub contractors who undertakes work in the utility, gas and civils sectors alongside main contractors. They have been established for over 10 years, have an annual turn over of around £12 million and are developing strongly. Their main office is based in Surrey and their catchment area for work is from the Thames river down to the south coast to include south London, surrey, Kent and East Sussex. Due to their size they are very focused on the individual and they have a good personal team working environment.
The job:
The successful project quantity surveyor will be the number one quantity surveyor in the company reporting directly back to the senior management. As the project quantity surveyor you will be overseeing one other quantity surveyor and working on a range of utility, gas pipeline and local authority minor civil renewal contracts to the value of £12million per year. These are multifaceted period contracts therefore you will be expected to handle 5/6 contracts at a time.
The project quantity surveyor initial project will be Thames water Victorian mains replacements working off an ICE6th edition form of contract. Your duties on top of the standard quantity surveying role will include; applications, invoices, local claims, contractual issues and it would help if you have done standard method of measurement.
Requirements:
• Ideally 5/6 years quantity surveying experience in civils/utilities/gas (my client are looking for people who can deliver contracts)
• Sub-contractor / contractor background
• BSc/HND in Quantity Surveying or related subject (not essential)
