A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and experienced Children & Families Worker in South London.
It\'s on going vacancy .

Your main responsibility will be to provide a good quality care, support and parenting skills service to residents and tenants. Be responsible for the care and well being of an allocated group of residents/tenants and their children. Carry out duties in line with organisational policies and procedures as well as provide emotional and practical support and positive experiences for residents/tenants and their children.

Key responsibilities:

Resident and children services ? To provide a day-to-day support service to residents/tenants and their children. ? To motivate and empower residents/tenants and children in all aspects of daily living. ? To support residents/tenants and their children using a support plan system. To formulate, implement and review support plans with the participation of residents/children and associated professionals. ? To advocate on behalf of residents/tenants, accompanying them as appropriate to relevant agencies. ? To advocate on behalf of children ? To liaise effectively with other agencies (including school and educational welfare officers and social services and community health visitors) involved in the support of residents/tenants and their children. ? To provide daily play sessions for both pre-school and school aged children with educational, recreational and interactive opportunities. ? To provide play schemes and activities during holiday periods.

Experience

Experience with working with children
Experience or knowledge of working in a residential setting
Experience with motivating residents/tenants and providing support to women and children
Knowledge of those who are experiencing the effects of domestic violence.
Experience/good understanding of liaising with relevant agencies (social services, solicitors, police

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of domestic violence and its effects
Good knowledge of key working and basic knowledge of support planning systems
Basic knowledge of Health and safety issues (in a residential setting)
Knowledge of child benefits.
Basic knowledge of child protection issues
