Summary
This post will support the production of
Neighbourhood Renewal Fund bids from inception to
finished documents ready for appraisal. This
will involve close work with partners and with
the Neighbourhood Renewal Co-ordinator to ensure
the highest possibility of bids that are approved
and which address the national Neighbourhood
Renewal Floor Targets.
Key Responsibilities
1 Gain a clear understanding of the current
situation by examining the Floor Target Action
Plans and the existing Expressions of Interest
2 Contact key partners to determine their
priorities for the bid and the resources they can
bring, with an emphasis on ensuring mainstreaming
and added value through the Neighbourhood Renewal
Fund.
3 Examine, in detail, the Neighbourhood Renewal
Fund criteria as established and the relevant
sections of the Community Strategy and
First Improvement Plan to ensure appropriate
"fit".
4 Work with Partners responsible for delivery
to ensure that after approval they have the
systems and processes in place to move quickly to
delivery and to achieve full spend and deliver
agreed outcomes
5 Write bids to a standard to ensure approval
by the First Appraisal Panel
6 Support partners who will be making
presentations to the First Appraisal
Panel so that they are able to answer any
questions the panel may ask

1 A clear understanding of the Neighbourhood
Renewal Fund
2 Experience of working with a wide range of
partners
3 Knowledge of diverse fields - health, housing,
environment, worklessness
4 Experience of successful bid writing
5 An ability to work to very tight deadlines
