LTE protocol architect sought by my global client which can be sited in any of their European Design Centres.

The chosen candidate will take responsibility for the architecture and design of 3GPP Rel 8/9 LTE protocol specification, guidance to the team in LTE protocol domain, contribute to new designs/implementations for new technology developments and offer expertise / support in product management.

Candidates will be experienced wireless protocol stack developers with a minimum of 3 years development or in HSPA/LTE for handheld device or mobile RAN and/or core networking equipments.

* Excellent knowledge of LTE Protocol Stacks (L1/L2/L3 Protocols) specification for release 8 and beyond
* Good understanding of legacy wireless systems like GSM, GPRS, WCDMA, HSPA, and HSPA+
* Experience of identifying protocol stack MIPS bottleneck and designing SW/HW partition of the HW co-processor is a plus.
